Hugh James Exchange Who's caring for Wales

Who's caring for Wales
The sixth Hugh James Exchange took
place at the Cardiff Hilton Hotel on 14 July. The event
challenged the thoughts of the busy Hilton ballroom to think '
Who is caring for Wales', who has a responsibility to look after
our elderly community, what can we do to make a difference and what
should be done by those who have the power to make change
happen?
Attendees from the care, nursing,
social housing and many elderly related charities listened with
interest to the heart felt opening speech from Ruth Marks, the
first Commissioner for Older People in the World.
Following Ruth's introduction our
usual compere, Noreen Bray, welcomed comments and
feedback from the rest of the panel:
- Tina Donnelly, Royal College
of Nursing
- Claudia McVie,
Tenovus
- Robert Taylor, Age Concern
Cymru & Help the Aged in Wales
- Ian Thomas, Alzeheimer's
Society in Wales
- Mario Kreft, Care Forum
Wales
- Lisa Morgan, Hugh
James
