Anniversary The Millennium Stadium has become an icon in Wales. The
Hugh James Exchange asks — is it a business beacon for
Wales? What is the economic impact of public investment
into new sports stadia and the hosting of major sporting
events?
Does this cascade across
the regional economy? Is sport helping Wales through recession? Are
some regions benefiting from investment in sport more than others?
These questions and many more were addressed on the evening.
The lively interactive
event was attended by key personalities from the worlds of
sport and business. The packed Cardiff Arms Suite in the
Millennium Stadium listened with interest to the opening address by
our key note speaker is Roger Lewis, Group Chief Executive of Welsh
Rugby Union.
