Back to E-coli: learning from the past
Hugh James Solicitors have been acting on behalf of families involved in the E-coli outbreak in September 2005 ever since the outbreak itself.
Hugh James Solicitors have supported the families throughout the prosecution of Mr Tudor in the criminal courts, supporting the setting up of the E-coli support group as well as in pursuing civil claims against Mr Tudor and his insurers.
Stephen Webber, partner in Hugh James Solicitors, was appointed by the Public Inquiry to represent the families throughout the Public Inquiry and has advised and represented the families throughout the first major Public Inquiry implemented by the Welsh Assembly Government.
Hugh James will continue to support the families and the e-coli support group following the publication of this Report so we can assist the families in ensuring that the recommendations within the Report are implemented.
Hugh James continues to act in pursuing civil actions on behalf of a large number of the families affected by the e-coli outbreak.
A number of Hugh James clients have been seriously affected following infection with the e-coli 0157, which caused serious kidney damage to a number of the children involved.
These children and their families are left with a very uncertain future and they do not know whether they will suffer further complications relating to this kidney damage in the future.
Hugh James Solicitors also continue to represent the family of Mason Jones to support them through this tragedy and the complex legal process since the outbreak. We are supporting the family through the Inquest process that will now be able to proceed following publication of the Report.
