Hugh James has been appointed by
the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) to its legal panel to
act on behalf of nurses injured at work in Wales.
As the UK’s leading professional
union for all nursing staff, the RCN promotes their
interests and those of their patients. With over 390,000 members
across the UK, the RCN has a reputation for excellence,
representing nurses and healthcare assistants at all levels.
Partner Cenric Clement-Evans who
heads a team acting on behalf of people injured at
work commented:
"We are delighted to have been
appointed to the RCN’s panel. We all appreciate the
tremendous role that nurses play, they are often unsung heroes.
Sadly and all too commonly nurses are injured through their work,
whether suffering back injuries when handling patients, being
injured by faulty equipment and in some cases assaulted
by patients. At Hugh James we see this as an opportunity for us to
help those who are usually responsible for our care. Patients come
first with nurses and at Hugh James our clients come first"
