Hugh James Partner Andrew Harding and Chris Agius raised over £700 last Friday as they took part in Headway’s ‘Wheely Big Relay’ cycle ride in Richmond Park, London.

The event was organised by national brain injury charity Headway and took place during Brain Injury Awareness week.

The Partners completed 45 miles in just under 5 hours. On crossing the finishing line, they said the atmosphere throughout the day was “fantastic” adding “the sense of support amongst the cyclists taking part was incredible and provided huge encouragement throughout the ride.

Riding through London’s Richmond Park was hugely enjoyable and to be able to raise money for such a great charity made it all worthwhile.”

Andrew, partner at Cardiff law firm Hugh James, is head of the firm’s multidisciplinary Neurolaw team, Chairman of Headway Cardiff and member of the Board of Headway UK. He works with brain injury survivors, their carers and families providing support and assistance on a daily basis.

He commented, “Hugh James are keen supporters of Headway. The day centre in Cardiff gives help and support to those who have sustained a brain injury. There is a huge demand for the services they provide. Chris and I are delighted that we have supported such a worthy cause.”

Whilst Andrew was taking part in the Wheely Big Relay in London, the rest of Hugh James Neurolaw team, based in Cardiff, were busy doing their bit for Headway. They raised almost £100 by wearing silly hats in the office throughout the day.

Andrews proactive approach to supporting brain injury survivors, their professional carers and families continues on Thursday 21 May, when Hugh James hosts the annual Brain Injury Conference at The Village Hotel, Cardiff. To book a delegate place, call 029 2039 1044.
