New Business Development Manager for HJ

Leading Welsh law firm, Hugh James, has appointed a Business Development Manager for their corporate division with experience in the marketing of professional services. Joe Purcell brings 4 years experience in marketing and business development with a top 10 European law firm. He is responsible for Hugh James’ Corporate Marketing and Business Development team as the firm builds on ten straight years of expansion and growth in UK and international markets.

 

In the last 12 months alone, Hugh James has opened its first office in London, developed a strategic alliance in Scandanavia with top Finnish law firm Roschier and won a string of blue-chip clients including Wells Fargo, Citigroup, Cardiff City Council and the Welsh Assembly Government to add to its long standing clients such as HBOS, Norwich Union, RBS, The Environment Agency and the Welsh Rugby Union. The new appointment signals the firm’s ambition to grow both in home and overseas markets.

 

Joe Purcell has spent the past 4 years in London helping a top tier European corporate law practice develop and implement successful business development and marketing strategies to meet the changing needs of their domestic and international client base. He has worked with a range of global corporate clients, private equity houses and investment banks across a wide variety of sectors and international markets.

 

Joe says he’s looking forward to living and working in Wales. “Having studied in Swansea I am very glad to return to Wales. I am extremely excited and optimistic about my new role where I hope to contribute to the continued success of the firm.
