Hugh James have previously obtained a general admission from BT that ‘Green’ tone set equipment used by Engineers emitted excessive levels of noise and BT have said that ‘it is likely’ it will  make a similar admission in relation to ‘Yellow’ tone set equipment shortly.

Kathryn Singh of Hugh James said, ‘This is great news for former engineers and should make the whole process of securing compensation quicker and easier.’

Hugh James have been the leading solicitors in the fight for BT engineers for several years and at the forefront of court proceedings culminating in the anticipated admissions.

Kathryn Singh of Hugh James solicitors says;

“Hugh James have for a number of years campaigned on behalf of ex and current BT engineers who were unaware of the potential damage that was being caused to their hearing as a result of using the tone set equipment, and are pleased that BT intends making this additional admission in respect of the Yellow equipment. This makes it much easier for our clients to achieve a successful outcome in respect of their claims”.

Current and ex BT Engineers are warned that strict time limits still apply to these cases and are urged to seek advice now.  For further information please contact our legal experts Kathryn Singh and Kevin McCarthy or complete our BT Hearing Loss enquiry form.
