Hugh James advises Rapala on £5.3 million acquisition

Leading Welsh law firm Hugh James has advised Finnish listed company Rapala on its £5.3 million acquisition of fishing bait company Dynamite Baits.

 

Rapala is a leading global fishing tackle company employing more than 2,000 people in 32 countries.

 

Founded some 15 years ago, Dynamite manufactures and sells a wide range of baits in particular for carp fishing under its main brand Dynamite Baits and a few other brands. Dynamite is a market leader in premium carp baits in the UK and it has a good market share of the premium carp and groundbait market in a few other European countries. In 2009, the net sales of Dynamite were £6.5 million.

 

The team at Hugh James was led by senior associate and corporate lawyer Greg Williams who co-ordinated a team of employment, commercial and property lawyers.
