Lisa Morgan short-listed for Prestigious Legal Awards

The outstanding achievements of
Lisa Morgan, Senior Associate at Hugh James has been recognised by
the judges of the most prestigious awards in the legal calendar.
Lisa Morgan has been short-listed
for the Law Society's Excellence Awards in the category of Junior
Lawyer of the year. Lisa is the only Welsh shortlist.
BBC Broadcaster Mishal Husain will
present the awards at a prestigious black tie dinner and
presentation ceremony which will take place on October 21st at Old
Billingsgate, London.
The awards reward the most
outstanding practitioners in the legal professions. They are
designed to recognise best practice across the entire legal
profession and to celebrate excellence and outstanding achievement
in areas that are central to the profession today. They highlight
innovative business and quality of life practices, successful
approaches to practice management, contributions through social
responsibility and equality and diversity initiatives.
Lisa is regarded as an
experienced and specialist solicitor who has acted for hundreds of
clients, successfully recovering wrongly paid nursing fees after
her clients had not received continuing healthcare. Previously this
area had gone unnoticed and Lisa has been instrumental in
highlighting the problems and injustices of older people.
Lisa commented on being
shortlisted: “I am thrilled to be short listed for this most
prestigious award and delighted that our work in helping our
clients recover their fees is being recognised at this level. Being
shortlisted for this award further illustrates the amount of work
and dedication Hugh James, and particularly the nursing care team,
has in getting the best outcome for our clients.”
