Two teams from Hugh James will
battle it out at the Millennium Stadium on Friday 26th August in a
charity football match to raise funds for The Prince's Trust.
The winning team will take home the
Russel Cup - dedicated to the memory of Russel Jenkins, a
longstanding partner of the firm who sadly passed away in 2009.
This follows last year’s successful
event where rivalries were resurrected as teams from Hugh James’
old Merthyr office and the Cardiff office competed against each
other. The event managed to raise over £1060 in aid of Headway, the
chosen charity in 2010.
Entry to this year’s event is just
£2 for adults (children are free) and includes a programme on the
night. There is also the opportunity to enter a raffle for the
chance to take a penalty on the pitch against a mystery guest on
the night. Entry to the raffle is a suggested donation of £1.
Gates open at 6:30pm with kick off
at 7pm. Tickets are available from the Hugh James offices prior to
the event or on the gate on the evening.
The football match is being
organised as part of a series of events by The Prince’s Bounty
fundraising team. This is a team from Hugh James taking part in the
Million Makers challenge corporate challenge, competing against
other teams across the UK to turn a small seed funding investment
into a profit of at least £10,000 for The Prince’s Trust.
There are lots of projects planned
over the next six months, from cupcake sales to spa treatments,
running the Cardiff half marathon, master classes and business
events.
