Hugh James sponsors awards for UWIC's Cardiff School of Management

Hugh James, local business partner with UWIC,
has recently sponsored the Undergraduate of the Year, and
Postgraduate of the Year awards for best overall performance in
human resource management studies.
Hugh James' head of business development and
marketing Sue Miller, and partner Richard Lane presented the
Undergraduate of the Year award to Roxanne Jones. Roxanne
graduated with 1st class honours, during the awards
ceremony which was held on 14th July at the Wales
Millennium Centre.
The Hugh James sponsorship included a cash
prize donation for the two successful students.
Roxanne said, "I cannot thank Hugh James
enough! It was an extremely pleasant surprise. The last
three years have not been easy, but this has made me feel like I
really have accomplished something.”
Hefin David, UWIC's senior lecturer at the
Cardiff School of Management considers the role of Hugh James as a
local business partner as very important and said “Hugh James
involvement allows our students to connect to potential employers
and enhances the employability of our graduates.”
The Postgraduate of the Year is yet to be
decided and will be awarded during a graduation ceremony on
4th November.
