Hugh James has been instructed by local residents in Wilton, Teeside to investigate a possible environmental group  action .  The legal group action would be against biorefinery firm Ensus for compensation in relation to the odour nuisance emanating from their site located in Wilton.

The proposed claim will be for compensation for residents' loss of enjoyment of their homes. This has been caused by the odour which has emanated from the site since approximately March 2010.

Residents have complained that the odour has interfered with the enjoyment of their properties and has prevented them from activities such as being able to sit out in the garden and being able to open windows and doors in the summer.

As well as seeking compensation, Hugh James will also be seeking an injunction to prevent the continuation of the nuisance in future, if there is evidence in support of such a claim.

If you have been affected by the Ensus site or would like further details about the potential claim contact 029 2039 1118 or complete our enquiry form.
