Headway campaigns for local support
16 I 03 I 11
National charity Headway is
campaigning for continued support from local councils across the UK
before budgets are finalised for the year.
Financial support from councils is
essential for Headway groups and branches to continue offering
their vital support services to local people affected by brain
injury.
The charity is encouraging its
local groups and branches to raise their profiles in the community
as Action for Brain Injury Week approaches, held 9-15 May this
year. The week is an opportunity to celebrate the vital and often
unsung work of Headway across the UK, while at the same time
raising awareness of brain injury and its devastating effects.
To coincide with Action for Brain
Injury Week, Hugh James is holding its annual Brain Injury
Conference 2011 on Thursday 12th May. The conference will be of
interest to professionals working with individuals and their
families with a traumatic brain injury including service providers,
clinicians, social workers, occupational therapists and
physiotherapists.

Conference.
