Action for Brain Injury Week
This week is ‘Action for
Brain Injury Week 2011’, a week of awareness raising events and
campaigns run by national UK brain injury charity,
Headway.

The week provides an opportunity to
celebrate the work that Headway groups and branches across the UK
do for individuals affected by brain injury, while at the same time
raising awareness of brain injury and its devastating effects.
Andrew Harding, partner and head of
the neurolaw team at Hugh James solicitors, works closely with the
Headway charity and is the chairman of Headway Cardiff. He said
“This awareness week is a great opportunity to promote the valuable
work that Headway does for individuals and families affected by
brain injury. Hugh James has a long history of supporting the
charity and we will be fundraising and donning our best head gear
with the Hats for Headway event this coming Friday.”
To coincide with Action for Brain
Injury Week, Hugh James is holding its annual Brain Injury
Conference 2011 on Thursday 12th May. The conference will be of
interest to professionals working with individuals and their
families with a traumatic brain injury including service providers,
clinicians, social workers, occupational therapists and
physiotherapists. Find out more about our Brain Injury
Conference.

Hugh James has also been appointed
as one of a new network of law firms to support victims of brain
injury. The Brain Injury Group is a
national organisation which comprises over 50 of the UK’s most
experienced brain injury lawyers.
The lawyers within the network will
work alongside a wide range of specialist support professionals to
offer complete service to brain injury sufferers and their families
throughout their claim and beyond. You can find out more
about the work of our neurolaw team on our dedicated brain injury
pages.
