On 28 November 2011 Hugh James
partner and head of the firm's commercial team, Richard Lane, will
be speaking at a conference highlighting the benefits for business
of sustainable procurement.
The event, run by the Buying
Support Agency and held at University of the West of England,
Bristol, will feature some of the UK's leading procurement
professionals and will address how sustainable procurement and cost
savings can go hand-in-hand when done properly, and deliver
significant cost reduction and increases in efficiency, as well as
supporting the environment.
Speaking about the firm's
involvement with the event Richard Lane said:
"Sustainable procurement is a
growing issue, even in such a difficult economic climate, with
companies coming under increasing pressure to address environmental
issues in their supply chain, processes, systems and service
delivery. We are delighted to have this opportunity to speak to
some of the UK's leading businesses about the contractual elements
of sustainable procurement and proud to support such a topical
event".
Speaking on behalf of the event
organisers, Dean Webley of the Buying Support Agency said:
"Richard's experience, expertise
and client list make him the perfect fit for our event,
sustainability is a complex field, yet his knowledge and
understanding are beyond question."
