Recent commercial litigation matters in which we have been involved include:

  • Advising the Welsh Rugby Union on its groundbreaking £30 million agreement relating to the funding and operation of its four rugby regions: the Cardiff Blues, the Llanelli Scarlets, the Newport-Gwent Dragons and the Ospreys.
  • Represented the Welsh Government in a complex dispute concerning a joint venture agreement to develop an international business park on the outskirts of Cardiff. Claim dealt with under an Expert Determination Clause in the contract.
  • Advising Millennium Stadium Plc in dispute with an organiser of a boxing event at the stadium.
  • Represented Lloyds underwriters in the multi party TAG AIL.
  • Advising the New York office of AIG in relation to its exposure to claims arising from the Buncefield explosion where the claims run to many hundreds of million pounds.
  • Advised a large multinational in relation to potential liability for fluoride contamination of land, including complex land title investigations.
