Hugh James commercial experience
Our extensive experience includes:
- Advising Central Government
on a number of commercial matters within procurement projects
including maintenance agreements, service level arrangements,
software development and outsourcing arrangements.
- Joint Venture Arrangement on Wind
Farm projects. We have been advising on this matter in
relation to the development of wind farm projects in Wales
including drafting the turbine supply, operation and maintenance
contracts.
- As an appointed law firm to the Welsh
Assembly Government Commercial Law panel advising on
numerous commercial matters including advising the Health
Commission Wales on the procurement of haemodialysis nursing
services and facility management services at the West Wales General
Hospital with an estimated contract of circa £4 million.
- Advising devolved government
on its contract for the procurement of a fully managed internet web
hosting solution to the value of circa £1.5 million.
- Advising devolved government
in respect of financial services regulatory issues relating to the
establishment of the £150 million investment fund.
- Advising a higher education
establishment on a variety of commercial
arrangements, including collaboration agreements and advice on
compliance with procurement regulations. Other significant projects
have included advice in respect of research and collaboration
agreements, reviews of general terms and conditions and advice on
distant selling regulations.
- Advising a local authority
on various high profile projects including:
- Advising the Cardiff Castle
Visitor Centre project.
- Advising on procurement for
a strategic partner to develop a local authority IT delivery and
future development.
- Advising two major global financial
institutions on a range of commercial contract agreements
in respect of banking products technology and regulatory
outsourcing requirements in Europe.
