Treatment and Rehabilitation
Every year Hugh James wins millions of pounds
in compensation for our clients.
However it’s not simply compensation we can
recover for you. Our team of personal injury lawyers actively look
for answers and solutions, not just compensation. We’ll help you
access the right rehabilitation treatment and provide financial and
benefits advice where you might need it.
The aim of rehabilitation is to enable the injured person to
live as independently as possible, regain control in their life and
to enable them to make their own decisions.
It is recognised that early rehabilitative intervention can pay
the greatest dividends. As a result, a Code of Best Practice on
Rehabilitation, Early Intervention and Medical Treatment was
introduced in 1999.
The aim of the Code is to ensure that an injured person achieves
the best and quickest outcome in terms of medical, social and
psychological recovery. It is designed to promote co-operation
between all parties who are responsible for assessing and providing
for a person’s rehabilitation needs.
Input into the rehabilitation process can be from various
sources some examples being:
- Physiotherapists
- Occupational therapists
- Clinical Psychologists
- Speech and language therapists
- Social Workers
- Case Managers
Our team of personal injury specialists are committed to the
principles of rehabilitation and we will advise you fully about the
Code and its relevance within your particular case.
As we operate within a multi disciplinary team, we can also
advise you as to the provision of rehabilitation services within
your area and ensure that you are accessing all resources that
should be available to you.
