Profile

Andrew Davies is a Partner in the Hugh James Clinical Negligence Team.  He has specialised in clinical negligence claims since 1988.  He has been a member of the Law Society’s Clinical Negligence Panel since 1996 and a member of the Action against Medical Accidents Panel (AvMA) since 1998.

Andrew has handled cases in all areas of clinical negligence during his career.   The majority of his time is spent on cases for both children and adults who have suffered brain injury or paralysis as well as cases involving psychiatric injury.   He has expertise in pursuing claims arising from negligent gall bladder surgery as well as severe injury cases caused by Compartment Syndrome.  His reputation for handling cases sensitively means that he is regularly instructed by families who have suffered fatalities through clinical negligence.

Whilst the majority of his case load involves strongly contested multi million pound claims his focus is upon achieving the right result for his client in the quickest time possible.

Andrew has considerable expertise in legal costs and costing services.
