Hugh Price is currently working with Andrew Harding in
developing the firm's Court of Protection Deputy capability.
During his legal career Hugh has handled many hundreds of
professional negligence and high value catastrophic injury claims,
largely for insurer clients. His cases have ranged from a
£4m+ claim arising out of fire damage/arson to a £3m claim for
injuries caused during an off-road mountain bike race accident.
He has worked for Hugh James for a number of years and has
specialised in professional negligence work and was one of 2 panel
solicitors involved in drafting the Solicitors Indemnity Fund
pre-action Protocol, now known as the Professional Negligence
Protocol. Hugh also provides regulatory advice to other legal
practices.
From 1986 to 1993, Hugh was a Deputy District Judge. He has also
been President of Cardiff Law Society and Chair of South Wales
Accord (agreed experts).
