Profile

Prior to joining Hugh James as an Associate in September 2007, Llyr worked for another large commercial practice in South Wales where he specialised in Commercial Litigation and Intellectual Property disputes. Within Hugh James Llyr is now primarily responsible for contested Intellectual Property matters for a wide client base ranging from individuals through to large companies and higher educational institutions throughout the UK. Llyr also specialises in professional negligence claims (mainly against solicitors, accountancy practitioners and other finance professionals), general commercial litigation matters (including warranty, contractual, and director/ shareholder disputes) and Arbitration (including International Arbitration) claims. Recent cases include: a multi million pound dispute acting for The Welsh Ministers arising from a Joint venture Agreement; acting for a client in a multi million pound professional negligence claim against a firm of solicitors and acting for a UK Distributor in a high value Arbitration claim.
