Profile
Martin Jones is a Partner in the
Regulatory and Defence Services team. He advises on a wide range of
regulatory compliance issues for public sector clients and PLC's.
Martin relishes advocacy in particular.
His key area is criminal Health and Safety litigation but he
deals regularly with a range of other regulatory crime matters
including:
- Environmental Protection Act prosecutions
- Animal Welfare and transport matters
- Road Traffic and vehicle condition issues pertaining to
fleets
He has substantial coronial law
experience appearing in inquests throughout the UK.
In addition to his defence work,
Martin also regularly undertakes enforcement action on behalf of
regulators including non-police prosecutors. Martin defends all
appeals against decisions made by the Security Industry Authority
in South East Wales.
Martin also deals with a
substantial licensing case-load; concentrating on licence reviews
and breach allegations.
