Property Dispute Resolution experience
Neil's success and experience in this area include:
- Acted for Cardiff Council in a contested 1954 act case relating
to a sailing school's right over a reservoir.
- Acted on behalf of the Secretary of State for Trade &
Industry in defending a multi million pound dilapidations claim
arising out of one of their storage facilities.
- Recently advised a tenant on the exercise of a break clause
where the annual rent was £1.5 million
- Advised the Millennium Stadium Plc on the applicability of the
1954 L&T Act to catering & franchise facilities in the
Stadium.

Neil has successfully acted for
Cardiff Council in a lease renewal of Llanishen Reservoir which was
contested by the developer Western Power
Distribution. He defended on behalf of Companies House in
a substantial dilapidations claim relating to one of its storage
facilities and won.

Neil has also represented North
Wales Housing Association in a substantial boundary dispute which
established an exception to the Law of Property (Miscellaneous
Provisions) Act 1989.

He has also advised DHL in relation
to exercising a break clause of a lease.
- Recently successfully defended a claim against Barratt for the
return of retention deposits.
- Advised a football league club on the enforceability of some
onerous restrictive covenants to the Ministry of Defence.
