Profile
Philip Dicken is a Partner
and Head of Indemnity and Corporate Risk team. He
has represented insurers and corporate clients for 19 years and has
considerable experience of handling a wide range of liability and
disease claims. He has dealt with Health and Safety prosecutions,
road traffic prosecutions and inquests and is an experienced
advocate in Magistrates' and Coroner's Courts. Philip has
experience of handling high value and catastrophic spinal and brain
injury claims.
Philip was integral to the
development of our volume claims solution, Streamline 21, has
helped to co-ordinate our response to tackling insurance fraud and
was responsible for building our substantial pre-litigation claims
handling capability. He is a former member of the FOIL national
executive.

Philip joined Hugh James in 1990 as
an articled clerk. He qualified as a solicitor in 1992 before
advancing with Hugh James through Associate, Salaried Partner
(1999) and Equity Partner (2005).
Philip sat on the National
Executive of the Forum of Insurance Lawyers as regional
representative for Wales and the South West for two years from 1996
and he was appointed Head of Insurance (now re-branded to Indemnity
and Corporate Risk) in 2006.
