Residents join forces to stop waste plant
A group of residents from New Inn, Pontypool have joined forces to form the New Inn Action Group. Around 150 residents are campaigning to stop the opening of a mechanical biological treatment plant at the former Rechem incinerator site by Shanks Waste Management.
New Inn residents are concerned the new site will create odour, noise and increase traffic in the area.
