Welsh Government provides practice guide

In December last year, the Welsh Government published Rural Enterprise Dwellings – TAN 6 Planning for Sustainable Rural Communities.

The document has been circulated to local authorities and national parks who will apparently be organising training sessions to ensure better interpretation and hopefully improve the chances of success for planning applications relevant to TAN 6.

The WG website states that the practice guide:

explains in more detail what Rural Enterprise Dwellings are;
sets out how development proposals should be justified and assessed;
gives practical advice on evidence needed to support planning applications; and
indicates sources of assistance.
