Court of Protection Deputy Service
The Court of Protection unit at Hugh
James is a specialist team dedicated to dealing with the property
and financial affairs of those who lack mental
capacity.
We have built a team of
professionals who have many years of experience working with the
Court of Protection and the Office of the Public Guardian. We are
one of a small number of dedicated specialist units with the
necessary range of skills, experience and understanding to give
clients the required level of support and to ensure full compliance
with the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
APIL member Andrew Harding is a partner at Hugh James and is head
of the Court of Protection unit. Andrew acts as professional deputy
and is fully supported by a multidisciplinary team of legal, social
and financial experts. In addition Andrew is a member of the Court
of Protection Court Users Group, chairman of Headway Cardiff and a
board member of Headway nationally. He is also listed as a leader
in the field of personal injury in the Legal 500 and is top ranked
in the Chambers Guide.
