- Acting for a very well known
sporting organisation in a multi million pound claim against their
former solicitors. The claim settled favourably for our client
before trial.
- Advising a number of investors in
claims against Independent Financial Advisers who were negligently
advised to invest many hundred of thousands of pounds with the ARCH
CRU fund.
- Settling a professional negligence
claim that related to a catastrophic personal injury trial where
the claimant was negligently advised to reject an offer of
settlement. Damages exceeding £160,000 recovered for the
client.
- Acting in a claim against a
National Surveyor in relation to negligently prepared surveys - the
value of the claim is in excess of £1 million.
- Representing a Lloyds Underwriter
defending an architectural practice against a £400,000 claim for
professional negligence relating to the alleged failure of a large
concert hall to comply with Building Regulations.

- Settling a high value claim for a
client whose conveyancing solicitors failed to carry out the
necessary checks prior to purchase, which resulted in the later
discovery of a footpath running across the client's
land.
- Acting for a seller of land whose
solicitor failed to include proper provisions to retain rights of
grazing over common land at the time of sale.
- Representing a party whose
solicitors negligently failed to secure a charge over the
defendant’s property at the conclusion of a trial which resulted in
the defendant selling the property and removing his assets from the
jurisdiction.
- Recovering costs awarded against a
client where the solicitor failed to follow the pre-action protocol
for professional negligence claims.
- Successfully acting against a
Design & Build Contractor in a £250,000 claim relating to the
complete failure of a residential dwelling arising from landslip
issues.
- Successfully suing an engineer for
professional negligence in a subrogated recovery action against
insurers in respect of a failed subsidence remedial scheme -
damages recovered in excess of £200,000.
