MIPIM 2018

Hugh James's property and construction team will be in Cannes from 13 – 15 March to attend MIPIM 2018.

MIPIM is the world’s largest real estate conference, with the most influential international property players from office, residential, retail, healthcare, sport, logistics and industrial sectors in attendance. The four-day event sees plenty of networking, conferences and as well as dedicated exhibition.

Commercial Property Partners Caroline O’Flaherty and Simon Levine will be representing Hugh James.

Caroline said:

“We are delighted to be attending MIPIM 2018 and looking forward to catching up with our clients and contacts over what promises to be a busy few days.

"The last 12 months have been extremely active in both of our office locations, Cardiff and London. In Cardiff, where our headquarters are based, the Welsh capital is experiencing levels of inward investment, not seen since the city boasted the world’s largest port. Major city centre projects have been given the green light in recent weeks; notably the £180m transport hub, a new 15,000 seater indoor arena and the 2.5 million square foot redevelopment of the city centre brewery site, which we are delighted to be advising on.

"Demand is currently outstripping supply for commercial property from warehouse space to grade A office space, which presents significant opportunities for investors and developers. The abolition of the Severn Bridge tolls next year will also contribute to making Cardiff a more attractive place to do business and the growing reach of Cardiff airport (which now flies to Qatar) will undoubtedly help Wales to prosper in a post Brexit economy.

"Our London presence has grown significantly in the last 12 months and we have recently opened a new office on Gresham Street in the heart of the City. We hope to grow our thriving commercial property and construction team from this office in the year ahead.

"The major focus for our Cardiff office in 2018 is our relocation to the 135,000 square foot Fosters and Partners building at 2 Central Square. The move will see our 700 Cardiff based staff come together under one roof in a cutting edge office environment, which will allow staff and our clients to experience the best commercial property Cardiff has on offer.

"We look forward to talking about exciting opportunities in Cardiff and London in Cannes this year and would be very happy to catch up with anyone who might need our support.”
