Covering key case law and legislative developments, the Employment and HR team invites you to join them, in person, for the latest employment law seminar. The seminar will cover a number of recent case law decisions and examine legislative developments, including:

  • Manifestation of religion or belief
  • Holiday pay on termination and whether a manager holding a disciplinary has to meet an employee before deciding to dismiss
  • The Data Protection and Digital Information Bill

  • Employment Relations (Flexible Working) Act 2023

We will also consider the newly issued guidance on Alternative Dispute Resolution, the new ACAS mental health guidance on reasonable adjustments and the government’s proposals re limiting non-compete clauses.

We will then hold a workshop taking you through a bullying and harassment case study. In the workshop we will consider:

  • Whether a claimant can be harassed even if they are not aware of the act of harassment
  • Liability for third party harassment
  • Perception and associative harassment
  • Reluctant witnesses
  • Clash of protected characteristics
