Chris Jones is a solicitor in our Corporate & Commercial team. He advises on corporate matters to include M&A, joint ventures, MBOs, equity and debt investments, restructuring and general corporate governance. Chris assists lead partners on a number of high-value corporate transactions.
Chris advises both private and public sector clients on all aspects of commercial law to include complex, high-value commercial agreements, state aid and procurement advice.
Chris has experience advising numerous start-up tech companies on various investments from institutional investors including Development Bank of Wales. He assisted lead partner in advising Celtic Manor Resort on its recent acquisition, the hotel now known as Tŷ Hotel (formerly the Hampton by Hilton, Newport East), located just off the M4 at Magor Services.
Chris joined Hugh James in 2018 as a trainee solicitor having previously worked as a paralegal at an international law firm. Chris qualified as a solicitor in September 2020 and joined the Corporate & Commercial department.
