Robert Hurling

Senior Associate

Robert joined Hugh James in September 2017. He acts as a professional deputy and assists clients who are unable to manage their own property and finances.

Robert has extensive experience of making applications to the Court of Protection (both contentious and non-contentious) for statutory wills, gifts, and variations to deputyship orders, including permission to purchase property, as well as applications to release funds from the Court Funds Office.

Robert is also able to assist clients who have a damages award and wish to establish a personal injury trust.

As well as England & Wales, he has an interest in mental capacity law in other jurisdictions and is a member of the International Guardianship Network
