Stephanie is a Partner in the Hugh James Group Actions team specialising in environmental claims and works with partner, Gwen Evans, Head of Environmental Claims.

Stephanie specialises in group actions on behalf of communities and residents across England and Wales affected by various forms of environmental pollution such as odour, noise and dust.  She has successfully concluded a number of environmental group actions in locations within the UK and has secured compensation and an end to the nuisance on behalf of a large number of individuals.

As well as environmental claims, Stephanie has a specialist interest in personal injury and property damage claims and has over 20 years’ experience of handling complex litigation.

About Hugh James

Hugh James has a long history of representing communities affected by various forms of environmental pollution. We have successfully concluded a number of large environmental group actions in locations throughout the UK and have represented many thousands of individuals securing compensation, and more importantly to the claimants, and end to the nuisance. We have also represented claimants in the Court of Appeal in the case of Barr v Biffa Waste Services Ltd which is considered to be the landmark decision on the law of nuisance.

What do you love most about your job?

Personal interaction with the clients, their witnesses and experts.  The forensic analysis of claims to identify any potential areas of fraud/exaggeration.   Delivering speedy and excellent results for the client.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Pilates, walking and spending time with friends and family
