We have experience in assisting commercial lenders with streamlining their processes and work flows. Lender clients require solutions which help with their speed to market, and we are committed to reducing the length of time between sanction and drawdown of loans.

To this end, our team has developed systems for a number of clients which significantly reduces the time that deals spend ‘in legals’ through innovative I.T. solutions, tailored service level agreements, reporting with accurate and relevant management information, agreeing risk solutions for common issues in commercial lending and preparing different forms of CP satisfaction and Certificates of Title documentation to speed up drawdown processes.

We have developed, and use, the following systems:

  • A system for security document preparation and CP management for a challenger bank product offered to certain business customers. Our system has reduced the average timescales from completion to drawdown form 90 days to 30 days.
  • A new system of preparing documents and carrying out light touch due diligence against secured properties used by a client for a portfolio buy to let product for loans up to £25,000,000. The streamlined workflows and efficient system has been designed to meet the ambitious target of all portfolio loans being drawn within 30 days of sanction.
  • Our in-house IT department built and manages a portal system which can be accessed by one of our institutional lender clients and the Hugh James banking team. This portal and our other advanced IT infrastructure allows for the transparent management of conditions precedent to loans, and allows the lender to access our case tracking service 24 hours a day on all matters.
