We currently provide expert practical legal advice to Registered Social Landlords (RSL) and Local Authority clients. We provide specialist assistance to social landlords in all aspects of tenancy enforcement and dealing with issues of nuisance behaviour and/or criminal activity within their estates and communities. We are also able to provide specialist advice and assistance in relation to all aspects of housing management, to include succession, defending disrepair claims, homelessness and allocations. Recent experience

Recent experience for the team includes:

  • secured ex parte injunctions against multiple defendants in one action;
  • secured multiple custodial sentences following breaches of anti-social behaviour injunctions;
  • successfully securing an outright possession order against a tenant with the full protection of the Equality Act 2010;
  • working closely with The Official Solicitor to resolve issues involving tenants who lack capacity;
  • securing numerous emergency injunctions with powers of arrest and immediate exclusion provisions under the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014;
  • serving notices seeking possession relying upon the new mandatory ground for possession;
  • training Housing Associations to maximise their in-house expertise and management capabilities; and
  • acting to suspend the right to buy following complaints of serious anti-social behaviour.
