This week’s podcast from Lawyers on the Block looks at the collapse of FTX (a centralised cryptocurrency exchange), a tumultuous event which occurred towards the end of last year with shockwaves still being felt.

We look at what FTX and Alamada Research were doing and how the collapse started and ended.

There is a discussion as to the ramifications that the collapse has to the many holders of digital assets within FTX and how the process of recovery is ongoing.

Given the huge aftershock, we discuss whether there is a warning lesson from the collapse and what it could mean for the crypto-space in relation to ongoing and more advanced regulation.
