We are pleased to announce that we have been successfully re-appointment to deliver legal services under newly awarded framework agreements for Cartrefi Conwy and Adra, two of North Wales’ leading housing associations.
The dual appointment further strengthens our presence in the North Wales housing market and builds on longstanding partnerships with both organisations.
Throughout the four-year appointments we will advise across a range of legal areas including governance, Welsh Language Standards compliance, housing management, property, planning, procurement and employment law.
Reflecting on the appointments, Caroline O’Flaherty, Partner in our Commercial Property team, said:
“We’re proud to continue supporting Cartrefi Conwy and Adra through these new frameworks. These reappointments are a reflection of the trust we’ve built and the results we’ve delivered, and they reaffirm our commitment to helping build and support communities across North Wales.
Since 2018, we’ve run multi-team conferences in Deganwy, which have helped us stay closely connected to our clients’ evolving priorities, and we really value the opportunity to continue deepening those relationships across the region.”
Helping our clients navigate a changing regulatory landscape
In June 2025, the Welsh Government confirmed that Welsh Language Standards will be extended to all Registered Social Landlords (RSLs) before the end of the current Senedd term.
This important policy shift will require housing associations to review and update a wide range of documents and services, including tenancy agreements, policies, signage and all public-facing communications, to ensure bilingual compliance.
Our Social Housing team is well-positioned to help clients meet these new obligations. We already advise public bodies that have implemented the Standards since 2016, providing tested templates and strategic support for delivering bilingual tenancy agreements, policies, signage and complaints handling. We provide our clients with bilingual legal advice, documentation and communication support, and our commitment to bilingual service delivery is underlined by our recent appointment to the Welsh Language Commissioner’s legal framework.
Our re-appointments to these frameworks will ensure we can continue helping our clients stay ahead of regulatory change while maintaining operational confidence and community focus.
