We are pleased to announce that our Chief Technology Officer, Rupert Poole, has been shortlisted in the AI 100 UK List 2025, curated by Digital Leaders.
The AI 100 UK List recognises and celebrates individuals and organisations at the forefront of driving ethical and impactful use of Artificial Intelligence across the UK.
This year’s shortlist is drawn from nearly 400 innovators, policymakers, business leaders and charitable change makers who entered or were nominated by the Digital Leaders community over the summer.
Over the past two years, we have been implementing Chat GPT Enterprise, through our alliance with OpenAI, to transform the way our legal teams work and deliver value to our clients.
Reacting to the news of the shortlisting, Rupert Poole said:
“I’m truly humbled to have been nominated and selected for the Digital Leaders AI 100 UK List 2025, celebrating individuals driving responsible and impactful use of Artificial Intelligence across the UK.
Over the past two years I’ve had the privilege of leading our firm’s AI journey alongside my colleague Matthew Tossell, exploring how this technology can transform the way we work, empower our legal teams, and ultimately deliver greater value to our clients.
To now be recognised alongside such an inspiring group of AI leaders, thinkers, and pioneers is an honour. This recognition reflects the forward-looking culture that exists at Hugh James and the commitment of everyone who has embraced this journey.”
The shortlist will now be put to a panel of judges who will, alongside a public vote, determine the official ranking for this year’s AI 100 UK list. The final order listing will be announced on Friday 17 October at the House of Lords in London during AI Week 2025, the flagship event for UK artificial intelligence leadership.
