Former Miners and their families represented by Hugh James sought for BBC Documentary

In 1998, we successfully represented a group of eight South Wales miners in a landmark case against the National Coal Board, helping to secure compensation for those suffering from respiratory conditions caused by prolonged coal dust exposure.

We have been approached to support a BBC Documentary, which will look to tell the extraordinary story of how three individuals came together to challenge an unjust system and make it possible for thousands of miners and their families to seek compensation for the devastating lung conditions caused by coal dust.

The production team is now looking to speak with former miners and their families across South Wales who were affected by conditions such as COPD, emphysema, and chronic bronchitis, and who either received or sought compensation.

If you were represented by Hugh James, or if you are a relative of someone who was, and you would be happy to contribute towards the documentary, please contact Catrin Mair Jones at [email protected], including your name and phone number.
