Chief Technology Officer

Rupert Poole is the Chief Technology Officer and Chief AI Officer, responsible for leading the firm’s technology strategy, digital transformation agenda, and adoption of emerging technologies across the business. With more than 25 years’ experience in enterprise technology leadership, he has worked across the legal, managed services, and financial services sectors, delivering large-scale transformation programmes within complex and highly regulated environments.

He oversees cybersecurity, business continuity, software engineering, infrastructure, cloud platforms, IT operations, and artificial intelligence initiatives across the firm. Rupert plays a key role in aligning technology investment with the firm’s strategic and commercial objectives, ensuring that innovation delivers measurable operational and client value.

Rupert has extensive experience in modernising legacy technology estates, improving operational resilience, and embedding AI-driven solutions to enhance efficiency, decision-making, and client service delivery. He has particular expertise in AI strategy and adoption, cyber risk governance, cloud transformation, and resilience planning.

Working closely with the board, senior leadership teams, and external technology partners, Rupert focuses on developing pragmatic and secure technology solutions that balance innovation with governance, compliance, and operational robustness. He is also actively involved in driving organisational capability, strengthening technology functions, and supporting the responsible use of AI across legal and business services.
