Witness Appeal: Appeal to support victim abused by Vicar David Beater

Senior Associate, Danielle Vincent, is representing a client who was sexually assaulted as a child by Vicar David Beater whilst attending St Botolphs and St Marks Northfleet, a Church of England Church in Gravesend.

It is understood that Beater abused his position during the 1980’s before moving around to other parishes.

Beater has pleaded guilty to a number of offences against my client. He is due to be sentenced shortly.

The culture at the time of the abuse was not to speak out about child abuse. I frequently see survivors who are only able to speak out about the abuse they suffered years after it took place, especially when there has been a period of grooming from a person in a position of trust. I am therefore seeking evidence in support of my client’s case.

We want to reassure all those who contact us that we will deal with this in a sensitive and confidential matter.

If you were abused by Vicar David Beater and are willing to assist my client in their pursuit of justice or would like to have an informal discussion, please contact me by clicking on the button below. Or contact Danielle on 07966738012 or by email [email protected].
