Neuro Trauma Conference

Beyond survival: Planning for a lifetime after catastrophic injury

We are pleased to host our 2026 Neuro Trauma Conference in Cardiff, at its flagship office in Central Square, bringing together professionals to explore the long-term realities of living with catastrophic injury.

Taking a “beyond survival” perspective, this multidisciplinary event will focus on what happens in the years and decades following serious injury – examining how needs evolve over time, and how early decisions can shape lifelong outcomes. Drawing on a 20-year case study, the programme will offer practical insight into supporting individuals and families over the long term.

The conference will be of interest to case managers, clinicians, therapists, care providers, deputies, and other professionals involved in supporting those with complex injuries.

Key themes include long-term rehabilitation, psychological impact, ageing and neurological decline, evolving care needs, and planning for long-term security.
