Catrin joined Hugh James as a Partner in 2022 in the firm’s Wills and Estate Planning department. She brings with her a wealth of experience of acting for high-net-worth clients and business owners. Catrin regularly receives referrals from other law firms, accountants, charities and Independent Financial Advisers together with direct client instructions, across the spectrum of wills, trusts and estate planning matters.

Catrin predominantly advises high-net and ultra-high-net worth clients with the preparation of their wills, trusts, Powers of Attorney documents, succession planning advice and estate planning advice. She has established a loyal client following as a result of her approachable, friendly and professional manner. She regularly receives enquiries regarding complex will instructions, the establishment of trusts as an estate planning tool and works with various accountants and other professionals to achieve inheritance tax mitigation and effective succession planning solutions for her clients, such as the establishment of Family Investment Companies.

As a fluent Welsh speaker, Catrin is more than happy to obtain instructions and advise through the medium of Welsh, prioritising the client’s individual needs and preferences.
