Matthew Stevens


Matthew specialises in construction and engineering law, dealing with contentious, non-contentious and professional negligence issues.

Matthew has extensive experience of bringing and defending adjudications on behalf of developers and contractors.  He also has a proven track record of successfully advising contractors, developers, RSL’s and public bodies in relation to a variety of construction matters including final account disputes, extensions of time claims, loss and expense claims and professional negligence.

Matthew has significant experience in drafting professional appointments, building contracts, performance bonds, collateral warranties and other construction documentation.  Matthew acts as one of the team’s primary contacts in respect of social housing projects and regularly advises a variety of social housing clients on their construction documents.
