After graduation from Cardiff Law School, Paul worked for several years in the Insurance sector. In 2004, returning to the legal profession, he joined Hugh James as a Team Leader in the Indemnity and Corporate Risk team, eventually being promoted to the role of Head of Motor Claims in 2009, a role he occupied for 6 years. During this time, Paul not only oversaw the receipt and conduct of large volumes of personal injury claims, but also ran his own case load of motor/public/employer liability claims.
Looking to diversify his skill set, Paul moved into the dispute resolution team in 2015. Here he worked with a wide range of clients to protect their commercial interests, whether through litigation or alternative dispute resolution. In this role Paul gained invaluable experience of dealing with professional negligence matters, Director/shareholder disputes, breach of contract, insolvency, debt recovery and Intellectual Property law.
More recently Paul has transferred into the Industrial Disease department, where he now acts on behalf of clients in a variety of industrial disease litigation matters, though chiefly asbestosis, mesothelioma and noise induced hearing loss claims.
