Susanna Evans

Susanna Evans is an associate in the Environment Team and specialises in private nuisance group action claim, Japanese Knotweed Claims and Part 1 Land Compensation Act Claims.

Susanna acts for homeowners in private nuisance claims as a result of encroaching Japanese Knotweed from adjoining landowners, including claims involving railway land and public bodies. Her work includes advising clients on their legal rights, investigating the source and spread of infestations, and working alongside surveyors and other experts to support claims for damages, treatment costs, loss of amenity, and diminution in property value.

Susanna understands the significant stress and disruption Japanese Knotweed can cause for homeowners, particularly where it affects the enjoyment, value, or future saleability of their property. She therefore aims to provide clear, practical advice and guide clients through the claims process in a straightforward and supportive manner.

Susanna acts for groups of homeowners in private nuisance claims as a result of nuisances like odour, noise and other forms of pollution from industrial sites such as landfill sites, factories etc which affects a homeowners/tenant’s enjoyment and use of their property.

Susanna acts for groups of homeowners who wish to take action under Part 1 of the Land Compensation Act 1973, claiming compensation to reflect loss of value to their properties as a result of increased physical factors such as noise, vibration, smell, fumes, smoke or artificial lighting, caused by certain road developments or airport expansions.

Susanna has been involved in some high value large group action claims during her time in the Environment Team.
