A team from Hugh James, led by partners Gerallt Jones and Peter Hurn, has advised longstanding client Walters Group on the sale of its Land Rover dealership in Hay-on-Wye. The business was acquired by the Sinclair Group, Wales’s largest franchised car retailer.
The acquisition adds another premium brand to Sinclair Group’s portfolio which includes Audi, Mercedes-Benz, SEAT, Skoda, smart, Volkswagen Cars and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in 20 dealership locations across South Wales. All 35 staff from Likes have transferred into the Sinclair Group, adding to its already 950 strong workforce.
