Simon heads up the Military Department, advising and assisting current and former military personnel with various health conditions and injuries. He specialises in all aspects of claims involving military personnel, with a particular interest in occupational disease claims such as Noise Induced Hearing Loss, Non-Freezing Cold Injury, Compartment Syndrome and PTSD. He is often approached to consider more unusual types of claim with a military context that other lawyers are unable or unwilling to consider.
Simon has particular expertise in claims on behalf of current and former military personnel. He is currently overseeing a significant number of claims for noise induced hearing loss suffered by members of the Armed Forces. He is also regularly asked to review and undertake cases turned away by other solicitors due to their complexity.
Simon is a Partner with Hugh James and has worked with the firm for more than 20 years, having joined in 1998. He trained and qualified with Hugh James in 2000 and became a Partner in 2009.
Simon is an APIL accredited Senior Litigator and a contributing author for Lexis Nexis.
