Hugh James appointed to Cheshire Asbestos Victims Support Group legal panel

We are pleased to announce our appointment to the legal panel of the Cheshire Asbestos Victims Support Group (CAVSG). The group provides vital support and guidance to individuals and families affected by asbestos-related disease across the region.

The legal panel exists to provide support and advice as well as ensuring that those diagnosed with asbestos-related conditions can access specialist legal advice from firms with recognised expertise in this complex area of law. Our inclusion reflects our asbestos team’s experience, commitment to clients, and longstanding involvement in asbestos litigation.

Our specialist asbestos team brings more than 50 years of experience in representing individuals diagnosed with mesothelioma, asbestosis, asbestos-related lung cancer, and pleural thickening. Over that time, we have supported thousands of clients and their families in securing compensation, as well as providing reassurance and clarity during what is often an extremely difficult period.

With a significant physical presence in Manchester, our specialist team are ideally placed to ensure that individuals and families across the North West can access expert legal advice close to home. This local presence enables us to provide timely, accessible support, alongside a strong understanding of the communities affected by historic asbestos exposure.

Richard Green, Partner and Head of our Asbestos team, commented:

“We are delighted to join the CAVSG legal panel. The organisation plays a crucial role in supporting those affected by asbestos-related disease, offering both practical assistance and championing the interests of those affected.

The legacy of asbestos exposure continues to be felt across communities, and it is essential that individuals have access to trusted legal advice at the earliest opportunity. Our team is proud to support the work of CAVSG and we look forward to working closely with the group to assist its members with sensitivity, expertise, and care.”

Margaret Brown, Secretary of CAVSG added:

“CAVSG would like to welcome Hugh James on to our specialist Panel of Solicitors and look forward to working with them.  Our clients will benefit from their expertise.”

Each year, hundreds of people across the North West are diagnosed with mesothelioma. As one of the UK’s leading asbestos litigation firms, our team is best placed to assist you or a loved one if you have received a diagnosis. We are proud to be ranked in the top tier of Chambers & Partners for our work in this specialist field.
