TAC has represented the Welsh independent TV production sector for the past 30 years and it’s members are responsible for creating most of S4C’s content. Part of TAC’s role is to deal with S4C and others on terms of trade. It also provides input into policy-making on Welsh and UK level, creative industries, broadcasting and skills, as well as engaging with policy-makers and the wider industry.

Aled Walters, partner said:

“It’s a really buoyant time for the Welsh TV and media industry and we’re certainly seeing evidence of this at Hugh James after an influx of activity to our media team.

“TV production companies in Wales are among some of the bigger players in the UK overall market. It’s a busy time for us as we’re being called upon for our media expertise to assist with big contracts for these production companies.”

Luned Whelan, Executive Manager at TAC, said:

“Following a competitive tender process, we look forward to working with Hugh James over the coming year on a number of challenging matters at a crucial time for our members as S4C enters into a new phase following the recent review and their pending move to Carmarthen.”
